LOTS of people would use it to go downtown - I promise!

We agree and have actually run test service on Friday evenings.  We understand many people are interested in night and weekend passenger rail service and are discussing it in our as we plan our fiscal year 2012 budget.

At this time, we don't have the money to implement this idea, but we are open to suggestions for paying for it.

Also, one thing to remember is that Capital Metro has an obligation to also provide freight service along the same tracks and that freight runs late at night and on the weekends.

Thank you,

How about paying for it by taxing Cedar Park and Leander residents, since they're the ones benefiting from this service?

If cost continues to be a concern, why not at least start by taking one mid-day train out of circulation and adding it to the end of the weekday schedule?

The current schedule requires anyone who wishes to ride the train south from, for example, the Domain and nearby offices, to leave work around 5:30 pm. Just one additional train- leaving Kramer Station at 6:50 pm, an hour after the last train currently leaves Kramer Station, would make a tremendous difference.

Absolutely agree to run longer hours on WEEKDAYS!  The rail is so congested with 9 to 5 workers, there is NO standing room.  (I use Howard Rail to Dtown & Back)  By the time I get downtown/to an office or run errands by train & then wait/transfer for a bus, the last rail has already left back North for the day!  :(

NO, get rid of the metrorail! We didn't want it, and don't need it. Cost too much money for the small percentage of passengers it serves! GET RID OF METRORAIL
