Increased revenue means increased service. So where does our money come from? In this video, Capital Metro CFO Billy Hamilton discusses the big picture of how Capital Metro generates revenue.  After you watch the video, share your creative ideas for how Capital Metro can generate more revenue.

I'd like to encourage CM to enter into partnerships with merchants, employers and property owners along CM routes to create special offers, incentives and discounts to transit users. There are countless opportunities to create arrangements which would be mutually beneficial to CM and its commercial partners.

Great suggestion.  We have been working on a similar idea.  Our Marketing and Business Development Departments are exploring where we can really find a synergy with the business community.  We are currently in talks with Go Local and other potential business opportunities, so keep your eye open for new partnerships.  ^Marketing, ^Business Development

Hi Don,

We've also had partnerships like this in the past, including with Black Star Co-Op, Finn and Porter, and McCormick's and Schmicks (to name just a few!).  Yes, great suggestion.

Thanks!

You get the merchant and business partnerships when more riders can get to jobs quicker and more affordable. This is why currently--only plasma and sperm donor places advertise on your buses. And lots more places specify that their employees have to have 'reliable' transportation.

You guys aren't trusted!!
